If we beat UGA in the SECCG, Bama climbs up into the playoffs. Hopefully Auburn will take care of bidness, which might allow the mighty Ducks to sneak into the CFP.
The most important thing Duck fans needed to see this week was no one in between them and Alabama in this latest poll. Bingo they got what they wanted. Bad news for Alabama. There is so little chance now that an Oregon team running the table would still be behind Alabama in the cfp ranking. They would have to have a couple of ugly wins and probably Utah getting upset before they face them. If none off those things happen, they are in the playoffs, unless undefeated LSU loses to 1 loss Georgia.
I am all for gut stomping Oregon in a playoff scrimmage ... But we will have to stay at Number 1 ahead of Ohio State to avoid Clemson first

I understand in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter much but, it is a big deal to us. First time listed in the CFP and first Sun Belt team ever. We were NAIA until 1970. Five years ago we were FCS; Went to a bowl game first year eligible; Now 4-0 in bowls, won three straight sun belt championships; This year we beat two P5 teams, granted it was UNC and the chickens but in our neck of the woods the only bigger dog around is Klempson.
Yes can we get a shoutout for App State making the CFP ranking. I think it's glorious and well deserved. I do believe they'll be the highest ranked non Power 5 team and get that coveted New Year's 6 bowl game when all is said and done.
