I hope Bush's recovery goes better than Prothro's. But watching the replay, it didn't look to be as devastating as Prothro's break. Still a broken leg will sit a player for the season.
Unless I'm remembering something incorrectly, it seems like folks are missing the bigger significance here...West Virgina. WV has a total cupcake schedule this year and I believe Louisville was to be their only real test. With a strong preseason ranking and Louisville being a little less of a threat on the ground, that could pave the way to a smooth run for them...right????
stripley and smith still looked very good(granted Uk was flat). they may not provide quite the production of bush but will be more than adequate.
No arguements here (and I'm sure that the UK fans will support it as well), but an even BIGGER moron, IMO, has to be Petrino for playing Bush that late in the game when it was decidely over. The Cardinal fans can't be too pleased with that decision. I mean, Louisville and WVU probably have the easiest shot at making the BCS title game than any other BCS conferenced team....and that idiot is going to keep one of the best running backs in the country in the game??? He was just asking for trouble--and Kentucky just gave it to him. I think that decision by Petrino, just cost Louisville a shot at a BCS bowl. Fitting, because I personally don't think the Big East--as a whole, is any better than the Mountain West or CUSA (though WVU is probably as good a conference contender as there is, but outside of them, the rest of that conference is a joke!).
