I tell ya, there are more big rigs on the road than ever before! Especially I12. What really burns my a$$ is when they take up all lanes of the interstate and idle side-by-side with 2 miles of clear road ahead of them. There should be a law that they cannot for any reason get in the passing lane. I also say, if you are gonna repave a road, construct a road, it should be nothing smaller than 3 lanes. There is nothing more discouraging when sitting behind some guy who is trying to turn left without a turning lane. Then, by the time my happy a$$ gets to the intersection the light turns red. NOW they wanna put cameras on the redlights so they can give me a ticket. Damn, I'm pissed off again!
I was driving to Austin on Friday, going down US-290, in a 70 mph zone. There was a truck driven by you-know-who going MAYBE 30 mph. I got to the left lane just in time, and saw two F-250s behind me smoke their tires all the way up to his truck. I don't know how they didn't hit him. Scary and infuriating. Oh, the strike was awesome here too. I even considered supporting their protest. :hihi:
I agree, but I imagine that people in every state feel the same way about their drivers. I might add that in Louisiana people hate using their turn indicators, and somehow Louisiana drivers has managed to get the impression that the first person that arrives at a red light gets to run it.
So, here I am driving in heavy traffic on the interstate and the car ahead of me is slowing down and speeding up and occasionally drifts into another lane. Another drunk driver, I figure, while I take an opportunity to get ahead of him and the wreck he's likely to cause. I take a look when I pass to see if he's nodding, thinking maybe I should call the cops to pull this drunk over. Turns out it's a woman intently texting a message on her Blackberry! That outght to be illegal.
I agree! I've seen this hundreds of times! What I don't understand is how can a person driving a Lexus (has to have a good job with a quality education to afford it) can't multi-task??!!?? :dis:
No. A woman driving a lexus means she married a rich man who makes all the money and she drives around spending it. I'm gonna get killed by women for that comment.
There's already a law. Something about "failure to maintain control of your vehicle." There's absolutely no need to outlaw anything like that in the car (e.g. cell phones, eating a burger, messing with the radio) since the laws are already on the books.
