Its a long stretch, but I agree with Oklahoma being up there. They looked very impressive. All they need is solid QB play and he may do better than that.
Right. We still have to play Florida. And let's not forget about South Carolina and Auburn. I know Auburn lost a game they should have won this week, but they are still a worrisome opponet.
Very true. I love giving the Auburn guys hell on here but they always show up to play us and give our offense hell. Auburn will only get better. Florida is starting to look really good too
you mean you actually understood something he said?I need to find that spittle and jibberish translator you got.
Lou finally woke and realized how stupid he appears for low balling LSU in the past. The fans have been calling him out so he is trying to mend fences since it appears we will be near the top of the ranking all season.
Holtz is a crazy old coot, but..... I found this on ESPN http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/notebook?page=gamedayFinal072 "LOU HOLTZ I don't see a weakness on this LSU team. Some teams do this thing well or that thing well, but these guys do it all well. I'd have to give them the nod for No. 1 right now, with Oklahoma and USC right behind."
Re: He's a crazy old coot, but..... And this....... "RECE DAVIS For the time being at least, LSU and Oklahoma deserve to be the top two teams in the poll. If you're a pollster and those aren't your top two, what you're saying is that your preseason prediction is more important than what you've seen on the field. Unfortunately, too many people seem unable to break that habit." Man, ESPN hates LSU and the SEC and the South and everything besides ND & USC.
Re: Holtz is a crazy old coot, but..... i still can't believe holtz is saying positive things about LSU. amazing! that is one amazing team we have if holtz gives us the #1 nod over USC. wow!
Crap...if Lou said it, we're doomed... I think Holtz is WAY over-due a permanent retirement. Everything that has come out of his mouth has been laughable and largely unfounded and I just can't give him a "way-to-go!" on his recent remarks on LSU just because he FINALLY said something I agree with....
