One other team won. (I think it was South Florida ove WVA). Meaning Holtz at 2-7 has twice as many wins as ND.:hihi:
I could barely understand him during his rant tonight about how KU should be the #1 team in the country simply because they're undefeated. It's time to take him off camera it seems.
I just saw that. Ended it with a rant about how his dad fought in the war so Mark May could say stupid things......at least I think that's what he said. I loved his comment earlier today about the irish loss......"shows how good the service academies are this year".
That's what he said. I think it's supposed to be a running gag (from what I read in earlier posts in this thread) but I don't get it.
For the love of God, can someone at ESPN give Mark May a REAL analyst to work with from now on? Kansas being the best team in the nation when their signature wins are over K. State and Okie State? Neither of which are in the Top 25? The mind boggles.
Watching May and Holtz is like a comedy show. First you get the serious stuff and good stuff from May. Then Holtz comes in to argue the other side. He's obviously the jackass in the duet. Even though the jackass said that he thought KU was #1 until someone knocks them off, he acknowledged earlier that there was no way they would jump up to #1 in the polls right now. BTW, I can't help but feel that OU would beat KU. Hopefully, we'll get the chance to see that game. I never find myself getting excited about any Big-12 games, but that could be an interesting matchup if both teams win out the regular season and get to their CG.
