If LSU were to lose to Georgia and beat Bama, they would have to beat Georgia a second time in the SECCG. That to me is a much more difficult path, though it pretty much guarantees a birth. The other scenario requires that one of the other P5 slips up. I could also see LSU not getting the Bama benefit of the doubt in getting into the playoff without a conference championship.
Exact same situation I played out in my head just yesterday, and the answer is a resounding yes LSU makes it over Georgia. There is no way Georgia would be ranked ahead of LSU after that second loss.
