People may not like this, but it is a fact. Notre Dame has a lot of say in this matter. It's one time they'll side with the Big12 and the SEC when it comes to strength of schedule.
"The commissioners have agreed to offer the national championship game to the highest bidding city on an annual basis, like the NFL does with the Super Bowl." Big loss for New Orleans... instead of hosting the MNC every four years they will be lucky to get it again.
There's nothing that indicates that. If one of the semi-finals were held in New Orleans, their chances wouldn't be good. But, other years? As good as they have been. New Orleans will just have to cough up the money.
