I'm kinda bummed out that Les Miles has begun speaking more coherently . There's not much new material here...http://thequotablelesmiles.com/
yeah, i agree w/this. CLM expects to be a championship team every year. About every 4 seems realistic for LSU at this point, given the talent evaluation and recruiting history of this coaching staff. Nice to be able to say that. Having attended LSU when Arnsparger was HC, and then suffering through the late 80s and 90s, I can appreciate what it means to have a team that legitimately has a chance every year, and is "expected" every 4 years. Phenomenal would be the best word.
You did the right thing to avoid asking about appearances in the title game, and instead focusing on play-off appearances. As soon as I saw the poll, I immediately assumed that you would indeed inquire as to the former.
I was waiting to catch the plane home from Dallas yesterday and a Bama fan got off and said good game. He started talking to some LSU fans sitting around us and said he knew we had a bad taste for Saban, at which I replied "keep him we have our man". The response I got from the "supposed" faithful LSU fans were "who Les Miles....we'd take Saban back right now. He would have beat TCU by more than we did". I thought to myself dumbass it stills shows as a W regardless how much you win by. Even fresh off of a win we still have those Saban lovers that will not be happy cause we don't have him. I think its sad....Miles is right for our school. He called Miles stupid and my son says "dad he's the stupid one he spent all that money to watch a guy he doesn't like." That's a wise boy I raised there.
Your kid definitely has some brains. I actually don't get the Saban suckfest of some of our fans. I actually had to just grin and bear it when he was here before. The winning made it okay, but I still hated his attitude. I guess I'm as bad as a Gump since I was okay with it since we were winning, but the Les Miles hiring (once I saw what kind of coach he actually was) straight up made me giddy. I think it's because I played sports in high school (wasn't good enough for college lol). The coaches that gave a rats ass about us as people and students rather than just athletes? That leaves an impression on you.
