Unfortunately, the terrain is dictating our search for bin Laden. You can't just drop an infantry battalion at the foot of a mountain in Afghanistan and say, "go find him." It takes highly trained operators to work in that kind of environment, i.e. Special Forces. They have the tools and training to be there. If you ask me, I say we know exactly where bin Laden is and have known for awhile now. We're just using assets that are high up in his network to gain more intel. There is no telling what could happen if it actually came out that we caught him.
The previous poster from a page or two ago that laughed in your face about your "it's not about oil" rant.... As if we would be in Iraq if we didn't have a dog in that hunt.......again, not that I blame the guys who have an invested interest over there...... the only reason we should be the Middle East is to find the scumbag OBL and his pals that killed thousands of innocent americans 3 years ago, remember???? Iraq should be on the backburner until we find OBL.
