I posted this link cause I thought it was funny, I meant no harm to LSU, Tiger fans or Les Miles. This is a video conference after OU beat OSU 52 to 9 in 2003.

Please help me, I'm trying to find out the latest info on the following items:

    1. What ever happened to that ship Titanic?
    2. Does anyone think the Beatles will ever break up?
    3. What ever came of that vote count in Florida, anyone have the totals?

    Thanks.

We started last season ranked in the top five and by seasons end we were nowhere near that. Seems Saban had trouble staying a "top ten" program too. Other than 2003, we weren't a top 10 program. Your expectations are outlandish.

FT might be right about Coach Miles not being a good head football coach! Just like Pellini might not be a good DC!

We can't be sure yet, because it is too early.

In my opinion, this new staff will not do as well this year as we would have done had Saban stayed with LSU . . . the coaching staff is still developing and this could cost us 1 or 2 losses this year. The staff will get better. What is unknowable is whether this staff will develop into one of the best in NCAA football.

PS I've seen the Les Zilla thing before, and I don't think it's comical. The video tries to ridicule Les Miles, and I don't think that it manages to do that either.

PSS Don't forget that Skip was interested in hiring Houston Nutt before he picked Les Miles. Would we have been better off with Nutt?

i liked it because i like seeing Les stand up for his team. i dont think it succeeded in ridiculing as they intended at all. good movie too.

i think it was because thats who saban recommended so he had to consider him. i think nutt is a good coach actually but i dont think he brings enough discipline needed for the size of a program as LSU which would eventually spiral out of control.

I'd much rather have Less Smiles than No Nutts.

What you don't understand is that if we had hired Nutt, there is a good chance Casey Dick would have transferred here. How could Skip not at least consider the Dick-Nutt factor?

Maybe that's why he didn't consider it. :hihi:
