Ole Miss is very fortunate this game isn't already out of reach. The offense is not looking good. I'm not sure about the red zone play calling of USC but they're at least moving the ball between toe 20's.
Re: South Carolina vs Ole Miss Review it all you want. It was a fumble. Ole Miss is not looking good.
Re: South Carolina vs Ole Miss I wouldn't take to much from this game whether they win or lose. They gave us a nasty ass whippin at home last year. I haven't witnessed LSU getting manhandled at home like that, since Shaun Alexander. Mercy knee in TS. Beat the defending NC at home too, a place where we had our worse ass whippin in an away game in a helluva long time. LSU will have to play a great game this year in order to beat OM at home.
Justin's Not So Weekly Brain Seepage: The Roast of the SEC | Bleacher Report "There's high expectations in Oxford this year. Ole Miss fans having high expectations is like watching a fat guy get on a trampoline. Everyone except the fat guy knows it's a disaster waiting to happen. That still doesn't make it any less funny to watch."* LSUtiger327 is wise, this is funny!
Damn, I even fell for the hype. OleMiss ain't got it. How they're ranked in the top 5 is a mystery. This team doesn't belong, they always choke. S Carolina isn't as good as Ole Miss is making them look.
Re: South Carolina vs Ole Miss I ain't over yet. But they aren't looking like world beaters either. (How's that for hedging your bet!)
For one, their QB, Snead, is a lot better than this. He was awesome last year, and based on his performance last year and his physical tools, every draft site had him projected as a 1st Round QB. But he got off to a shaky start in his first two games this year, and he is playing like absolute garbage today. His throws aren't even close. So far, he is 4 of 11 (36%), 41 yards, 3 sacks, and only 3.7 yards/attempt. He's doing absolutely horrid. Also, Ole Miss hasn't been getting the ball to their big-time player-maker, WR Dexter McCluster. He's awesome, but he hasn't been getting the rock today: zero catches, and just two carries--for 16 yards (8.0 YPC). And like Sabanfan pointed out, Ole Miss has some injuries, and that one to DE Greg Hardy is pretty big. Hardy's going to be a early First Round pick, like Top 5 overall. But he's got a sprained ankle, and they weren't even sure if he'd be able to play at all today. Also, South Carolina has a pretty tough D and a really good Defensive Coordinator in Ellis Johnson. Their defensive leader is LB Eric Norwood, who is a baller (he's the guy that got the first sack of the game today). He's already two-time All-SEC over the last two seasons and is already the school career record holder for most of the South Carolina defensive records. Finally, Steve Spurrier is a hell of a coach and his team came to play.
