What is there to elaborate on? Am I saying they "shouldn't" go, no, they can if they wish but I don't think its adviseable, depending on the hood of course. I'm not saying I like it or that it is right, it is just a fact of life. Roll up on the wrong set and see what happens? You know better. Don't make this into something that it isn't. While that may have happened to you, i'm telling you i can't even begin to tell you the companies that have told me they do NOT want any blacks, so do not send them their resumes. If it happens to me alone alot, think of how much it happens everywhere else. Chances are the company you are talking about got in trouble because they were running 100% white, or had discriminations charges filed on them.

from your posts it sounds like you havent gone anywhere. you cant carry an argument because you read all sorts of assumptions into my posts. it is not our fault because we are white. i/most of us were born after jim crow was removed. but their situation is largely because of white people. "feel sorry for them"?--not really. "ashamed of who we are" no. although i dont really have pride in things i dont have a role in. i am somewhat ashamed of the ways my father has told me he treated blacks as a child in the 50s. i just think we should recognize the problems and find solutions. just want the country (its inhabitants, more exactly) to be better. its more productive than complaining about uncle sam giving lazy people your hard earned money.
True, if it ain't broke why fix it. However crying and complaining about being treated unfairly when you in fact get an unfair advantage only breeds more racism and disharmony. You only have to look back at the 60's to see that.

Pick your place. Any place as long as it is outside of the U.S and you have a one way ticket on my dime. The only stipulation is you don't ever come back. Ever!
i dont really understand forcing companies to hire a certain race or gender or whatever. if I own a roofing business and wanted all mexicans, it should be my right to do so. those dudes work from sun up to sun down never complaining about anything and happy if you feed them whatever. however, if you force me to hire white women for example, then you likely have a group of slackers complaining about everything half the day which forces my company to lose tons of money. and when its time for lunch, one is lactose intolerant, the other is allergic to peanuts and another cant have gluten. if a "company" is racist to the extent people know and it affects their bottom line, why not let the market take care of it. if you applied this to an NBA team, owners would be forced to play 2 or 3 white dudes the entire game effectively reducing it WNBA irrelevancy. yet we think this is ok to do in everyday businesses? forcing employers to hire less talented people based on guilt? makes no sense.
If you had read my earlier posts, you would have seen that I have very negative views on Jesse. But you weren't interested in my real opinions, you just wanted to agravate the situation this post has caused. Very childish. But I can understand how this came from you. There's no doubt in my mind that racism has truly diminished now. Gone? No. But you fail to acknowledge this fact. Your suggestion that I have a "pity party" just shows another aspect of your deluded thinking. I guess when the argument gets too adult for you, you regress to childish stuff. I know lots of guys like you so you do not offend me. There are alot of people that are members of this forum that DO NOT share your views. Just because they don't respond to your ridiculous posts doesn't make your views right. You have a right to express yourself, the constitution guarantees it. However, this country will never go back to the time that you wish was still here. You'll never be able to degrade or dismiss a person just because of his skin color. But you'll always be able to invent scenarios in your mind where other ethnic groups are getting better jobs, getting better benefits, and basically live a better life than you because you're white. You KNOW that they're all out to get you and it's OK for you to have any delusions you care to call your own. The worst part is I don't think we'll ever stamp out racism. The caucasions in the US are slowly but surely becoming the minority. Since racism is practiced by all colors and creeds, chances are that the american whites will one day be forced to beg for equal opportunity in the work force. Karma's a bitch.
