yes sir. black folks shouldnt let their past define them. they shouldnt say "i am so mad about what happened to my my ancestors" any more than i should feel guilty about my ancestors owning slaves. i wouldnt own slaves, so i am free of guilt. yunno how you have people who were adopted and their biological parents abandoned them, so they consider their adopted parents their real family? can we understand how this means genetics are not relevant? it does not matter what was done to or by people who happened to donate genetic material to what eventually became you. you do not have to share their thoughts or opinions or religion or culture. you do not havbe to be depressed if your great grandfather was a slave. that is not some legacy you have to bear. you are you, right now!
Try my suggestion, print out your posts, share them with a few black folks, and see what label they apply to you. Next suggestion, take the same printouts and share them with the most likeable, educated, middle-class white, red, yellow, etc.... people you can find and see what kind of reaction you get. I don't think I "win" an argument by calling you a racist. As someone once said, be judged by your character. Your views and writings indicate your character.
you can do whatever the hell you want man, you can say whatever you want, wear whatever you want, but if you make racist comments, dont be surprised when you are labeled as such.
I don't judge Martin by anything other than the posts he layed down on this topic. If you don't think his writings are racist, then it's YOU that should pay better attention. And I don't require anyone to have compassion, I was just pointing out that he has none. And to be honest, I think he DOES feel sorry for himself just by his thoughts that he's expressed on this post. But thanks for your suggestions on how I should "think" about Martin. However, I'll make my own judgements as you should also.
maybe they would call me a stupid honkey. i dont think i would be offended. i disagree about being stupid, and i am clearly a honky. one time i was permabanned from another forum for using the term "yellow". i was discussing offshoring labor, i was in favor of sending jobs overseas to our little yellow friends. but somebody was offended and the mods tossed me for being racist. looks like you are just as terrible as i am. the term "yellow" is not acceptable. maybe at your klan meeting it is, but not in polite society. you should watch what you say, mr grand wizard. i am not suprised. i clearly am very racist. i think for instance, black people make better running backs. i stereotype them that way. the evidence agrees, but the evidence is racist!
yes. now that is out of the way we can forget it and move on. but to be fair i think we should note that i am racist based on ignorance. i dunno what is wrong with that. lots of people are ignorant about all sorts of things and we do not hold it against them. there are ignorant oafs out there that think jesus is lord, but nobody acts like they are wrong or should be ashamed.

the point was that i was banned for using the term "yellow" to mean asians. you would have been banned as well. you cant use that term, dude, dont be ignorant. agreed! so why should i be ashamed or looked down on? i am simply ignorant.
