I'm really sick to my stomach about this because one of the leading Black intellectuals in America as well as the black president of the United States both IMMEDIATELY play the race card without thinking first. There's absolutely no hope at all for us when the top black Americans perpetuate racism by claiming that "it's just another example of the white man taking advantage of the brother"... or..."My people been slaves for over 200 years and you owe me". And I can bet money that the officer didn't want to drop the charges, either. This really infuriates me. I also am in LOVE with how the media is not focusing on the fact that he's guilty of disorderly conduct and only that he's a black man being discriminated agianst. So as long as I say that its the color of my skin, not the laws I'm breaking - I'm golden? And one more thing... Did this Harvard Prof. that holds all of the accolades really bust a yo mama joke?
Obama could've easily said..."I don't have enough information to comment at this time." or "We'll allow the local investigation to proceed." Instead he felt compelled to immediately provide a response. Why? Unlike usual, Obama didn't speak via teleprompter or from a script. Unlike usual, these comments came directly from Obama...not a speech writer...not from a working group...not a quote from someone else. These comments came directly from the man...from his mind...from his heart. His comments truly reflect what he believes. I don't need to hear his staff, the media, or anyone else attempt to "explain" what he meant. I think that part was quite clear.

Ive been through things like this personally. Arresting someone for disordely conduct in their own house is stupid. Also, if he did so much wrong, why did they dropped the charges, why not try to convict him on the misdemenor. I agree that arresting the man in his house after he presented the id, is stupid. Its his word against the officers at this point and thats my take on it. Ive had an officer stop me and tell me "not the lie to me boy if this is not your car" Ive had cops stop me and search me and my car, with my friend in the car, whos father was a cop. Ive had a cop tell me "you people are all the same, so I have to be careful" I was driving my fathers Lexus. Obama should have stayed out of it.
Thats complete BS. Who has said you owe me? The fact of the matter is this country has been racist against blacks and minorities and there was slavery. Dont dismiss that like its not a factor in history and society.
