The Guinness World record for a paper airplane flight (225 ft) was almost twice as long as the Wright Brothers first powered flight (120 feet).

The first breast implants, made in the 1950's, were filled with wool. Ivory, cartilage and ground rubber were also tried before manufacturers finally hit on silicon.

In recognition of the anniversary of Prince's death.....although he grew up in Minneapolis, all four of Prince's grandparents were from Louisiana.

A guy wanted to bet me $20 that he could throw a paper airplane farther than me. He threw his for a respectable distance. Then I crumpled my plane into a tight ball and threw it way past his mark,

yep, there was a coin flip,..

"OREGON CITY, Ore. — In 1845, Asa Lovejoy and Francis Pettygrove flipped a coin in their parlor.

“Pettygrove was from Portland, Maine and Asa Lovejoy was from Boston, Massachusetts, so they both were betting on what to name Portland. Best two out of three. Portland won,”

And with that, what was known as "the Clearing" became Portland, instead of Boston."

If it came up Boston you would be speaking with a weird accent. I was in the Boston area one time and a woman told me she loved my accent. I had a cold and was talking with a nasal sound. More New Orleans than the way I talk. New Orleans has some off the wall accents too. I told her I didn't have an accent. She did.
