    Today is National Eat Brussel Sprout Day. Even @stevescookin couldn't make those things taste good.

    I like cole slaw. I liked the cabbage rolls with meat in them I ate at New Years a couple of times. I can cook cabbage with enough seasoning where they don't taste bad but it's still not enjoyable to eat.

    A study from Cornwall College explains why about half of those that try brussel sprouts may not like them. The study claims that a chemical in brussel sprouts makes them taste bitter to people that have a certain gene.

    I must have that certain gene.

    Could be. I shred them and saute with apples and shallots and bacon and add honey for a little sweetness. I really like them that way. I can eat them roasted too. Hate them boiled

    Maybe if they were in juice with other veggies. I like V8 juice. I hate beets but I saw on the label that beets are one of the ingredients of V8.
