I agree about the painkillers . I have a neck problem that flares up about every 2 years.I think I initially hurt it in a water skiing spill, and now it comes back if I happen to sleep wrong or ride any of those amusement park rides which i can't resist.Usually it is just a minor annoyance and goes away after a couple of days. One time ,however,it was like a knife stabbing me in the neck.I had to stay tensed up to keep it from being unbearable. When i tried to go to sleep,as I would begin to doze off and my body would relax...bam ...knife in the neck...Next morning ,I go to the doctor. He takes xrays and then has me stand up in front of him. Then he touches my neck and I thought he had used Spock's vulcan nerve pinch ...I crumbled to the floor.I don't know what he gave me...but...whatever it was ...within about 15 minutes I was able to relax and fall asleep.aahhhh relief...
My medicine cabinet is filled with unused prescription painkillers from years of going to the doctor or dentist and not taking the pain medicine because i wasn't in pain.BUUUTTTT,if i had to deal with that knife in the neck pain everyday...i would be taking whatever I could get my hands on everyday ,and would probably be the biggest drug addict out there.

I used to listen to Rush every Friday while driving from NOLA to Cecilia. This was at least 16 or 17 years ago. I thought he was funny and I was entertained. I never took his word to be gospel, though, politically, we were on the same side. I always thought that he had a smug belief that he was getting one over on everyone because he was making millions by pissing half of the people off and entertaining the rest. I never got the impression that he took himself seriously and neither should anyone else.

and I see it sort of the opposite. Hannity can drive me absolutely crazy at times, and I'm about as far to the right as you can get. I haven't listened to Rush a lot lately but when I do catch him I find him to be somewhat funny, and I find he will give it to the right side just as harsh. I think Hannity is just crazed over the fact that his guy didn't make it. Well, I am too, I just don't have national radio to broadcast it.

Rush and all of his ilk are the same, media whores. They are self promoters, and they pander to their audience, and the more outrageous their statements, and the more they make fun of the other side, including gross insults nobody in a position of responsibility would say, the better their ratings are. If their ratings fall, they have to go farther out for an insult.

I don't waste my time on these idiots. Their arguments make sense, only if you don't question their assumptions. They never state their assumptions. You can appear to prove anything if I let you make up your assumptions.

All I can ensure is these idiots don't make a dime off of me.

Rush is great vs Hannity. I heard Hannity railing about he was making a moral stand against McCain and threatening "those in power" to take him and his listenership seriously. What an ass.
