Red, I have to agree wholeheartedly with QBLuke. My tolerance for the vitriol that's been spewed for the past week is at a real low right now.

Any big time coach knows much of this job is public relations.

Regardless if he thinks anyone is owed an explanation, its called damage control.

The passionate people who are still at a loss over a football game pay the dude's salary. and he's quite aware they control his existence in this town.

Whether he owes them anything isnt relevant.

Luckily, he knows this and is attempting to appease some. It may not help much but it certainly doesnt hurt.

this isnt about right or wrong. its simple therapy for the fans to go into next year with some goodwill in spite of the complete coaching abortion of the last game.

In December of last year I saved my own life by telling my doctor he misdiagnosed me and asking him to send me to a specialist. After the initial tests they said I was 1 month of not being treated away from dying.

It happens more often than you apparently know.

Tuck it and run eh? That's why many here tried to suggest you tone down your emotions during the year, I spose. To be off the hook on one end means the come down will be excessive on the flip. I'll leave this to tirk since he's the professional on this matter.

You grew up in a coaching environment so you're biased and your opinion must discounted on this.

I just wish some of the people would remember the bad years of being LSU fans ... while this sucked we're definitely in a good position. Les will learn from this, and in 10 years no one will remember this because we'll have quite a few more crystal trophies.

Maybe some of us do and don't want to go back there. Saying that les will learn from this is a stretch IMO. If anything he has proven that he refuses to learn anything from the past. He still thinks that Bo Schembechler wrote the college football bible and he will do everything in his power to prove it so. Bottom line is we have had a nice run and the sky is for sure the limit. I'm just not sure we are going to adapt. Take a look at what we have had in talent, speed, power the last few years and it is the equvilant of having a corvette and driving it as if it were a damn yugo. Just pisses me off.
