Disagree about Soviet Union, I am pestimistic.
Remember the old saying two steps forward and one step back.
There are still comunists and KGB people in important positions in that country.
I won't be surprised "if" the old Soviet style returns one day but the whole
world will be taken off guard.
Imagine how that would surprise everyone.
A small group of soldiers taken over the country, don't know how to spell it.
I agree with the rest however but I think we could win this war if we really
used force and tried but it doesn't look like we want too.
WE cleaned out Fallujah really well when we wanted to do something.

Maybe but I'm convinced we could win this thing if we wanted too.
We are too nice and don't want to take a chance on killing innocent people
by going after the bad guys.
Meanwhile the bad guys kill Americans and innocent Iraqis.
Just think of the numbers of lives we could've saved American and Iraqi
if we would've been more aggressive against the enemy instead of being
    everyones friend.
I just hate this idea, would hate to think that we lost all those lives for nothing.
I also remember what happened in Afghanistan once the Soviets left.

    This is an example.:

We could win this thing but political correctness and us being cowards
on the home front suggest otherwise.
I've said for years that we have no stomach for war.
We've had it to easy for to long.

We have engaged in fourteen wars since World War II ranging from huge (Cold War) to tiny (Grenada). Public support for these wars ranged from overwhelming (Kuwait) to miniscule (Vietnam).

What people have no stomach for is unnecessary wars, stupid wars, and poorly-led wars that are unwinnable.

Thank heaven we live in a democracy and can let our displeasure with incompetent leadership be known.

I now think this was an unnecessary war.
    Why?
Because I came to the realization that Al Quada, terrorists and terrorist camps are in almost every country of the world.
We would've been better off fixing things at home like the borders.
Makes no sense to have this war and Patriot Act and totally ignore borders.

    Stupid?
I wouldn't agree on that, only time will tell IMO.
As the years go by we will find out more and more about the future and the
    past of Iraq.

    Poorly Led?
Sadly I now agree with you.
I thought we learned lessons in Vietnam about restraint of our soldiers.

    Agreed

Kind of like Neo-Nazi Conservatives trying to strangle hold anyone who doesn't agree with their laughable Iraq Policy.

Seriously, Neos calling others intolerant of others?

At least we don't try and get people fired because they don't believe that
man caused global warming or send letters threatening scientists on the other
    side such as Jay Rockefeller.
