Letting go of letting Brees go

I can tell you from visiting the Chargers forums that even though that was years ago, they still argue about cutting Brees. Its still a divisive issue for Charger fans.

Says the guy that just wrote this about Les Miles:

Kind of reminds me of the Saban vs Miles stuff we see on LSU forums... some of them will never appreciate Rivers even though he was #3 in the NFL in passer rating this season while throwing for 4,254 passing yards, and #1 in the NFL in passer rating last season while throwing for 4,009 passing yards. Most teams would love to have either Phillips or Brees.

 

Drew Brees is a great person and a very good QB. The combo of Drew Brees and Shawn Peyton makes him an outstanding QB. Little Nicky would never have developed a team around Brees like Shawn.

And after all of the Saints busts at picks and goofball trades, hard to criticize San Diego at all.

 

I think Rivers little attitude can be hard for some fans to deal with not to mention the Chargers still find ways to choke, particularly in the playoffs. Kinda a contrast with easygoing Brees.
