I think it will be 24-3 at halftime. LSU. UGA has had a problem putting up serious points this year. The Tigers have not. They will destroy UGA and won't call off the starters until it is 38-3 then UGA will put up a couple of garbage TDs. I see a kick returned this game, too.
BTW This will be the 5th Dawg we beat up this year, and they are all Bulldogs-woof-

Here is a little stat about playing twice in one season.........

History, though, does not look favorably on the regular season loser in an SEC Championship Game rematch.

Three times in the last four years, the SEC Championship Game has featured a rematch from the regular season. Only once has the regular season winner lost in the SEC Championship Game and that was Tennessee losing to LSU, 31-20, in 2001.

I think that most teams that play a team they beat already in the year go into the game thinking it will be an easy win. LSU knows they had a hard game in the first one and I dare say they will not
be overlooking this game. You still have talking heads that say Gerogia is clearly the best team, USC would beat us by 3 TD's, it's
the same lack of respect for a team that is ranked 3rd in the Nation with an 11-1 record. Add all this up with the SECCG and a BCS Bowl bid and I think you will see a very focused and fired up LSU team. Still this late in the year and we are still looking for some respect.............LSU WILL be READY!!!!!

You know what...in the end...both defenses are playing very well and all the stats mean jack crap.

I just hope both teams stay healthy and whoever wins.....wins

SouthLink02: I must say that I like to read your post. From my memory, you are a winner either way, but more so with a UGA win.

I can't even think about being a winner either way. It's LSU or nothing for me. If the Tigers lose I simply am deflated for days as a result. I know its just a game.

I'm older than you, I've been waiting for this season longer than you've been alive. It's been great having people call me that know how long I've been an LSU fan, to say congratulations, and I did nothing to help these wins other than watching each and every game that I could get, or listening to it over the net.

I know this is a great season, win or lose, but I want this for the team, coaches, all LSU fans, the University, Baton Rouge and the great state of Louisiana. I'm proud to be a tiger. You know how you felt last season, then you can understand how we all feel. I do get nervous when my fellow Tiger fans really go out on the limb with the bold statements. I learned my lesson last season, when our top 3 defense was absolutely dismanttled by Bama. I know and believe this defense is one of the very best in the nation and that UGA is right there with us. However, I'm not convinced UF is that good, and yet they beat both defenses. Anything can happen come Saturday.

I do believe that LSU will win, and that it will be by 10 or more points. I know that you are a facts person, like TE is and I have no facts, only a gut feeling. I don't buy that its tough to beat a team twice in one season. However, I do buy that is tough to beat a good UGA team in one season. I think this will come down to the return game and field position. I don't wish UGA good luck except for no injuries.

If UGA has an OC, I do give the edge to Fisher. If Richt calls the plays, the advantage is to Richt. I will end with this: Richt is the guy I wanted for LSU, but in no way would I trade Saban for any other coach. However, I've always thought Richt was second only to Stevie boy as an OC.

In the first game, LSU committed the turnovers early, but because of a strong LSU defense, UGA was unable to capitalize and put up the points. I’d like to see LSU get the turnovers early this game, because if that happens, LSU will blow them away.

LSU has the ability to jump on teams early and put up a lot of points, especially if the competition commits turnovers. If LSU explodes on UGA early, LSU will run up the score to make a statement. Otherwise, we’re looking at a nail biter; similar to the earlier game that maybe will not be decided until late in the 4th quarter. It depends which game LSU brings to the table. I don’t believe LSU will lose this game unless they beat themselves.

Watch the first half of LSU games; UGA is going to have to slow down LSU in the first half to have a chance. All season long, LSU has been a really dominating team in the first half, and where they struggled, the games have been close. In fact, Mauck has rarely played in the fourth quarter of games this season and that could come back to haunt LSU if the game is close and goes down to the wire. Fortunately, Mauck did hit Green with a clutch touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter to win it in the first game.

    ChuckE...

It's funny that you mentioned that you had an interest in Richt coming to LSU.
Auburn had the best shot at him before they hired Tubbe, but since some of the Auburn powers were still hacked about Terry Bowden, they passed on him primarily because he was from the FSU camp.

Richt made some very interesting comments about the preparation for LSU this week. He indicated that the change in playing surface would be a significant factor in the outcome of this game. (The Georgia Dome changed surfaces over last winter to artificial grass)

The improvements on UGA's team have been well documentented in this thread. What has not been mentioned is where we are weaker. That is what concerns me.
    1) We lost a great DB when Decory Bryant went down. The Bryant and Thornton combo shut down Clayton last time. With Bryant out, LSU can pick on the corner opposite Thornton.
    2) Kedric Golsten has been the anchor of our Dline run defense. He has been out for weeks with a broken shoulder bone. He might get some snaps this week but will be limited.
    3) Our OLine is even younger with a true freshman getting snaps at center.

There are some positives other than the ones mentioned above that were not there before...
    1) In the first game our OLine was so inexperienced that they didn't even know to push back a dlineman when they jump up for the ball. They won't make that mistake again. LSU will not get nearly as many tipped balls.
    2) UGA has learned how to make big gains off the blitz. I am certain the LSU DC will notice that. My guess is that LSU will actually blitz less than the first game and play more of a solid scheme.
    3) Gibson showed me for the first time last week that he has regained his ability to separate from the receiver.

It was REAL grass before??? In a DOME??? Is it now like I/O carpeting layed on concrete? Those are horrible! I thought artificial turfs had come a long way since "Astroturf" in that they are now more like real grass. What's the story?
