First point, behind LSU is not a good place to be when playing LSU. This trend holds we score 11.5, you score less. Second, I'm sick of hearing Billy Bennett's name. He choked. Bottom line. Regardless of turf or locale, under pressure he chokes again. Third, we heard the same argument about Richt's road record coming into Baton Rouge. You know what they say about records and streaks. It doesn't hold water. Sorry. Different ingredients going into the same recipe. LSU by 10.
I would agree with LSU's improvement as well. Vincent, for example, has emerged as a key ingredient to LSU's firepower. Seems like Georgia has been preparing for a possible matchup with LSU since the Auburn game with the development of a no-huddle offensive scheme. LSU will probably see a significant amount of no-huddle offense from Georgia. Much like what Georgia brought out during the Kentucky game. The reality remains that the number 2 or 3 ranked team will be playing the number 5 ranked team. LSU is only 12 points away from being undefeated. Georgia is only 10 points away from being undefeated. Either team can prevail if the other team doesn't bring their "A" game.
lol tigerintn....i posted this thread just to see what Southlink would say. maybe he is in hiding.........
All excellent points (except for the "fastest defense in the SEC" nonsense). Would make a dominating LSU win all that more impressive, IMO. To hell with a "close, competitive game". I want to see us come out, guns a blazing, with that "us versus the world" type of mentality we'd need to face up to the pressure and the fans and whip these boys something good. Even good old Mark Mays couldn't deny us at least one #2 spot in the final poll if we win by, say, 25 or more points.
I would like to see that but in all reality these defenses are as good as it gets.......... I think its a close game that goes either way.
Hey GA fans, don't you think you would have a better chance with Shockley at QB. He had an awful lot of success against us last time.
Hahahaha. Our defense did not get torched by GT. How many points did they have before we put our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th team defenders in? They had 3 points at halftime. We put all our scrubs in during the 4th quarter where they gained most of those yards. Those numbers are very misleading.
Good points Texas. Unfortunately UGA has a tendency to play down to the competition. We rarely blow bad teams away. But we play up to the competition so I guess thats the good thing. The Dawgs will undoubtedly bring their A game. This one is gonna be classic.
