I think the point most are tryin to make is the fact that it wasn't just public drunkenness(word?), but it was UNDERAGE public drunkenness....aside from the fact that he supposedly didn't get punished very heavily for it as opposed to what would have happened if it would have been someone else.

not a big deal It's 120 bucks and a 3 hour class in Baton Rouge. I've been to it and so have most of my friends. And it doesn't go on your record. So its really no big deal.
Plus "failure to comply" means he refused to follow the officer's orders and was generally uncooperative. I learned that the hard way.
