  2. Remember, Russell and Flynn already have the playbook and they will have the benefit of Spring practice. Personally, I can't see RP burning his redshirt to hit the field at any position other than QB, but who knows...

Having 3 good QB's always brings up transfer discussions, but it's a problem I would love to have at LSU. Depending on how they shuffle out in the end (and assuming RP comes to BR), I would have to think Flynn would be eyeing a spot at one of the Texas schools and Russell would be sniffing around Alabama, Auburn, Florida, etc.
  3. It's just a fact of life - these kids want a chance to play. I don't think Flynn and Russell are scared of RP or a little competition, but if one of them finds himself at #3 on the roster, a transfer may make sense for them, their family, and their future.

Look back at the QB's in the recruiting class from 2003: Link

Many of their peers are at the helm (or #2) of their respective programs. We're way ahead of ourselves here, but if RP comes to LSU, transfer talk will always be floating around for all 3 of these kids...
  4. I agree.
  5. Actually, RP has said that he is willing to red shirt his first year so that he can learn the offense. He wants to compete but knows that learning the offense will be his biggest challenge not having the most physcial skills. All the big TB guys are saying he is a lock to LSU and take it to the bank (the one's supposedly in the know).
  6. Agreed. If he goes to MSU, yeah, he'll be "the man" and all of the plays will definately go through him, but he'll have a lot of bumps and bruses to go with all those plays. MSU doesn't have squat for protection yet.
