You bring up a very good point. I used to love the NFL, but with the way it is now, it's hard to be a fan. Why be a fan if your team can't sustain greatness? The great thing about college is it's hard to build up a program. However, once you get there, you can stay there for a very, very long time. What's great about LSU right now is I believe we are being built for the long haul, not some one year flash in the pan *cough cough Virg- cough inia Tech*.

It's such a joke? ... along with the man's escape clause? No joke there ... IF ... he's gonna move ... he'll do it this year ... with a NC under his belt ...

why on earth would he move to the pros? i dunno

why does the man have a summer home North of Atlanta? i dunno

what does the man have left to accomplish at LSU after a NC? another National Championship? I dunno

we'll all know soon if 53-yr. old Uncle Nick will stay ... or go!

just wish he'd sign a 5+5 deal soon and work till the end at LSU

Now that we've got a president and AD that don't mind spending $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Saban is going to take every head coaching job offered. He'll be the first head coach of 4 separate NFL teams. Mondays will be Miami, Tuesdays Atlanta, Wednesdays Chicago and Thursdays New York. He takes 2 days off then on Saturday night flies to Colorado Springs to command his men from NORAD Headquarters on Sunday.

Rumors have been running hot & heavy with most of the Atl media outlets - 680 the fan, 790 the zone, channel 46, am750, etc. Most have Saban as one of two top candidates , and the candidate that most resembles the "ideal candidate" criteria laid out by Blank. Blank is dead serious about building a team that will constently reach the 2nd round of playoffs. And , let's face it, what coach in their right mind would not want to coach MV, he's unbelieveable.

    Cadillac,

Its alot of wishful thinking on all of you Aubbies part along with the rest of the SEC. I dont blame yall though. You see another Spurrier like dynasty coming in our conference and it aint taking place at AU. Its nice to have a coach who is wanted than one that not only your own fans dont want, but nobody else wants em either. So you keep Tubbs, let Arky keep Nutt, and Ole Miss keep Cut. The future is bright at LSU and the dynasty is upon AU and the rest. Get use to it!

Since September, the media has reported Nick to have been "a lock" for the coaching jobs at Chicago, Cleveland, New Orleans, an "unnamed eastern team" and Atlanta.

Without a doubt, four of these scenarios HAVE to be bullshit. It's not a stretch to realize that the same is likely true for all five.
