StaceyO That would be THUG U III...you forgot Oregon St...he really turned that team into a disgrace in just two short years after Mike Riley left for san diego:dis:
Like being married to Jenny McCarthy or Pamela Anderson??? You'll always have to worry about someone else trying to "get some of your goods"?? :hihi:
This is from cbssportsline.com .... LSU (9-2) meets Iowa (9-2) on Jan. 1 in the Capital One Bowl in Orlando. Nick Saban has built LSU into a national power, going 48-15 in five seasons. (AP) Asked if he expected to coach the Tigers in the bowl game, Saban said, "Absolutely. I'm committed to being the coach here. I'm happy being the coach here." But Saban acknowledged that opportunities must be weighed. "I have a great commitment to LSU, a great love for this institution, all that we've been able to accomplish here and the great support that so many people have given us," Saban said Wednesday night after LSU's first bowl game practice. "But I also have a responsibility and an obligation to be able to think through some things at a very busy time of year."
??? I dont know how well you know of the Miami situation when Davis was down there, but he WAS NOT part of the Thug mentality. He actually took that program (after Erickson actually made it worse than J Johnson with the NCAA) and brought it back to prominence, with respectability I might add. IMO, Davis is the No. 1 candidate bar NONE Of course, all of this means nothing if Nick stays
Damn, I was away for 10 hours and we're still giving Butch Davis the job around here... You guys can't stand to be without a date for 5 minutes. We so not need to hire Butch Davis immediately and without a thorough search.
Ray Lewis was not a Davis recruit. Only thing contraversial about Davis is how he left Miami. Otherwise, he did a great job of cleaning up Thug U. The difference lies in the fact that when Davis took over, Miami was on probation and the program was in the dumps. He still saw them through some pretty good seasons despite a big scholarship penalty. And the off the field crap went away.
Saban would not take most of his assistants to the NFL with him, he will hire mostly guys that are already in the NFL that he has worked with or knows.
Chinese bandit My thoughts exactly...the guy is a class act. Erickson really helped flush that program down the drain for a few years In regards to the way he left, not sure of the way but I know that he was no fan of the Miami area, as are most coaches with families in that area
no but everyones favorite soulja K2 was. Anyone know exactly how many players Miami has had drafted in the first two rounds of the NFL draft since Davis took over? I know there have been a ton.
