I was in Student Government @ LSU with Steve Scalise when he was the speaker of the house. He was a decent guy.

    Maybe I just don't get it, but . . .

If people have obeyed the law, then they have health insurance.

    It was mandated.

Hence they are covered as of today.

Hence there cannot be a pre-existing condition, since they are covered.

Now, if they did not conform to the law, then that is a different story.

Good point...but I was just a low-key politician. Student senator and president of RHA.

You have to NC. If all you do is trade who's paying it accomplishing nothing. The model must change. Anyone who says today's healthcare system is a capitalist competitive market is either a fool or a liar. There is no transparency no real competition only cronyism.
I've pointed out time and again the few examples where there is real open competitive markets and how they control costs and continually provide improved standards of care. I've also pointed out many examples where cash based services are quicker LESS EXPENSIVE and better than insurance based solutions. One article showed how out of pocket expenses for MRI, drugs, tests etc are lower for cash based operations than the cost of monthly premiums and deductibles in basic Obamacare plans. This evidence comes from clinics in poorer parts of Los Angeles to middle class areas.
BOTH SIDES have their heads stuck so far up their asses debating who's paying they forget the object to to make health care servicescheaper and more efficient. Until you and everyone else remember this we're screwed and will drive our economy over the cliff.

There is a place here doing that and it seems to be doing well. You sign up and get your Dr's cell phone number.

What do you do when the Doc doesn't answer the cell phone number?
I know. Leave a voice mail message like you would with his receptionist.
