Thanks for the underground "diss" about being behind the times...UNFORTUNATELY, I am ONLY ALLOWED A CERTAIN CARRIER WHERE I LIVE...SO THANKS FOR THE SALT ON MY WOUND...WOULD YOU PASS ME SOME GASOLINE NOW PLEASE!!??? MAYBE THAT WILL HELP OUR DISCONTENT AS WELL. God knows this is not what I expected when I opened this thread, a bunch of LSU fan dissin', ESPN lovin jacklegs. PEACE!!!
I'd like to read a copy of the letter Sonny sent to ESPN I'd imagine ESPN's inbox got flooded last night with hate mail from upset Tiger fans.
Dude, take a chill pill. I wasn't trying to diss anyone. I was saying that I wasn't watching in HD, and therefore never got switched. Because I'm behind the times, I saw the whole game and never knew that anyone else was having problems. It's got nothing to do with loving ESPN, just stated that (at least on Cox Cable in Baton Rouge) on the regular ESPN2 channel, they never switched.
 Trust me, I had a hard time fitting everything I wanted to say in the 160 characters they allow. I told them essentially that maybe NEXT time they will understand that people in Louisiana don't give a crap how lopsided the score is, and how close two teams we CARE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT is. It was the last game at the Box, it was redemption for Gillespie's bogus comment about our fans, and redemption for a gimmick play called all wrong...and we weren't allowed to see it. YET...the other game was on 4 channels where I live. Then I said...wait a minute...there won't be a NEXT time will it...the Box is done. Thanks ESPN.
And it seems EVIDENT now that there were like 45 different switches and swaps that ESPN did. Some of you had it on ESPN2, but not HD, some of you had it here, and some had it there, but where I live EVERY channel imaginable switched to the Fresno State and ASU game. I am calling Direcpath today...I am not paying my bill!!!
I called DirecTV during the game last night to inform an Arab about my un-happiness. Explained to him that they were the only carrier around that didn't have the LSU game on at least one channel. He responded "I hate ESPN when they do this":hihi: the 1st one I sent (while in an alcoholic rage) isn't acceptable to put on this site. however, I was polite after the game when I thanked them for making me miss the last game EVER in Alex Box, and missing my team punch their ticket to Omaha.
Do you really expect ESPN or any other broadcaster to stick with a game that is an absolute rout when they have a close game they can switch to? Yes, I know we're all a little disappointed because we're LSU fans, but you would have done the exact same thing if you were int heir positions.
