From what i heard, there were 2 fights. Anderson was thrown out of the bar for a fights. the guy who was in the fight got his shirt ripped, went up to anderson in the parking lot saying anderson should buy him a new shirt. words were exchanged and anderson pushed the guy then the guy's face hit anderson's fist
Do people still go to those bars in Tiger Land? And since when do you get arrested for a bar fight? Usually you just get sent home, or to another bar.
According to state statute 34.1, 2nd degree battery is "battery in which the offender intentionally inflicts serious bodily harm." It "involves unconsciousness, extreme physical pain, protracted or obvious disfigurement, or protracted loss of impairment of the function of a bodily member, organ or mental health, or a substantial risk of death." In layman's terms, you beat the s**t out of somebody. There is no such thing as a "class A felony." Punishment is imprisonment with or without hard labor (which means it can be treated as either a misdeamenor or a felony) for not more than 5 years or fined not more than $2,000 or both.
As they should be if all the reports are true. I dont remember the exact details of the Pittman incident but I recall thinking he should have been kicked off when that happened. Didnt he knock out a MUCH smaller kid and then kick him a few times when he was down? Then he lied to the cops about what happened? Miles hadnt coached a game at that time and had only been in BR for a few months and was still getting his feet wet. I think if the same thing happened today Pittman would have been gone too.
i believe these are just isolated incidents. but if others were contemplating any chit, hopefully the take no prisoners attitude will make them rethink!
