This afternoon, LSU football coach Les Miles will take the plunge off a 24-story high-rise, to raise awareness of the need for parents willing to adopt. Rigged up with the proper safety gear, Miles will rappel down the side of One America Place in Baton Rouge, as part of the Louisiana Family Forum's "Over the Edge for Adoption" campaign. "Coach Les Miles is tops of the list and he'll be going off at one o'clock," said spokesman Randy Hayden. He said their goal is to get a hundred children adopted, and they hope having the likes of Coach Miles publicize their cause will help. "We're trying to bring some attention to the fact Louisiana has almost 500 children in its foster care program right now," Hayden said. "We're trying to get them adopted."
