Evidently to waste our time.... :dis: I wasted 1 min of my life to hear somebody refer to Les Miles (he of the 28-4 record and head coach of the #1 team in the country) as "our Larry Coker" ... :dis: That's 1 min I can NEVER get back....
I'm sorry, I have dry humor. I was more than halfway kidding. Probably about 2/3's kidding. I think Miles is a strong coach who has put together a superb coaching staff. I think Miles has taken over a strong program at LSU and improved it. These are great times for LSU. To the instigator of this thread: you did come off a little too harshly when comparing Miles to Coker. It seemed a bit like you were here to stir shtuff.
Saban gave LSU a national title and 2 SEC titles. You honestly are going to all of a sudden write off what he did at LSU just because he is back coaching in the SEC at a rival school?

Great! Larry Coker won 80% of his games at Miami, and whether or not he should have been fired for having 1 bad season is debatable. Discipline issues aside, Coker is a damn good coach. Randy Shannon doesn't look like the "Answer". It was his Defense that gave up 40 points to LSU, and Shannon has not looked good as a Head Coach so far. Miles is winning well over 85% of his games. The last LSU football at LSU to do so was Allen Jeardeau in 1896-1897.
If you go back and look at all my posts on the subject, I've NEVER been a Saban fan. And i could care less where's he's coaching, im just glad it's not here anymore.
