Any Trolls around for this Troll thread? You're close but incorrect. It's not a "Sea Change" it's a "Freakin Tsunami"!!!

No other coach in the SEC has a better record then Les Miles since he has been coaching in the SEC. :thumb:

I just don't get why Miles still has to live under the shadow of Saban after 2 1/2yrs and a 30-4 record with so many LSU fans. I was watching the Blue Grass Miracle game on ESPN Classic this afternoon and noticed the tremendous NFL talent we had on that team: Dominick Davis, Joseph Addai, Bradie James, Marquise Hill, Michael Clayton, Devery Henderson, Skyler Green, Travis Daniels, Kendrick Allen, Chad Lavalais, ......
with that roster Saban needed a once in a lifetime hail mary to beat lowly Kentucky. Saban would not have coached us to a victory in last weeks Florida game. I was a Saban fan when he was here and hated to see him leave, but really folks, why do so many feel that we are missing something? Miles has brought this program to a sustained level it has not experienced in 50 yrs. I think he has earned our respect and support. :geauxtige :crystal:

I agree that coach Miles has earned our respect...and the respect of ALL who care about CFB. I have thought since at least the Miami game that Miles deserved credit as a good coach...and he's done nothing but great things since. I now consider him a GREAT coach...and fearless to top it off.

With that said, I have to give it to stephenj for being bold enough to pose his question. I think he was sincere in his stance...and was really just trying to feel it out to see what others thought. He hasn't been here long...but long enough to guage...and hasn't ever given me reason to think he's a stirrer.

I think we've answered your question stephenj...we like Coach Miles...and we think he's a good coach. Ask me again when we start losing to teams on last second deep balls...or losing to the UAB's of the world...or needing a last second lucky deep ball to beat an SEC bottom dweller...and I will probably give you a different answer.:thumb:

UAB may be having a down year, but we have a new coach, and those things take time. All SEC teams have lost to lesser opponents. Bama lost to La Tech AND No. Illinois.

Hopefully the Blazers can get things back on track with a win over Too Lame tomorrow...

Some jackass was wearing a Tulane U shirt in one of my classes yesterday... what a tool.

UAB wasn't on the radar when Nick Saban led LSU lost to them...AT HOME. And by the way...how was the feeling of you Bama fans after losing to La Tech and No. Illinois?? And don't forget the timeS you lost to USM either. I already know the answer. You were ready for at LEAST one head to roll. My point was stated plainly...but I'll explain it to you one more time. IF LSU should start losing to UAB's of the world, or losing games on last second big plays because we're too busy blitzing to play defense all over the field...THEN we will have a reason to start questioning Coach Miles. Right now, there is NO reason to question or second guess our coach.

Great post, and I agree 100%.

At Bama though, things really started going downhill when Stallings left. Realistic Bama fans are pretty much starting to expect that yearly trip to Shreveport unless things drastically change.

If someone is a fan of LSU but can't enjoy the ride we have had so far with Miles then there is not much to say. If all you can do is look ahead and hope or think that Miles and LSU will just self destruct then you are really missing out on the BEST TIMES in LSU football history.
I would suspect that these types of fans only started rooting for LSU in 2003, or they are not true fans and are only here to stir the pot, either way I'm going to sit back and enjoy my #1 ranked LSU Tigers play some damn football............................

When you speak of Alabama, it is "we".
When you speak of Mississippi State, it is "we".
When you speak of UAB, it is "we".

Find a team already and quit posting silly threads.

OMG, how can there be a Saban shadow? Nick is not, and never was, a great coach. Unless you like to average 2-3 losses a year and 1 great year with an UNBELIEVABLE defense to win a title.

Saban never had LSU ranked #1, never beat UF, AU, and Bama in the same year (Les probably will do it for a second time this year). Need I say more.
