I got to listen to the tail end. I know this isnt Les. But just once I think many of us would love to hear a more traditional response. You hear from a bad game. "I coached poorly, our team played poorly, and we are sick about it. I am the head coach and the blame starts with me, but we will fix it and the pain we feel today will power us in the spring" type speech. Like you hear from most coaches. I do grow weary sometimes of the "want" and "opportunity for victory" speeches. Sometimes being a good leader is admitting mistakes were made, you are aware of them and you will fix them. This instills confidence. I miss the beginning maybe he said it, but the part I heard was the usual vapid "coach speak"
I as much as anybody else wants to know the truth. However, even if something else like the truth comes out, it may still have a negative effect in terms of recruiting, and the spring season, etc.:dis: (i.e. favoritism ,...). Already he has admitted that they "blew" it. If Miles had to opt for nondisclosure to protect Lee for something Lee did, then I will give Miles the credit for taking the heat.
Personally for me. Its time to turn the f***ing page. Kiel, Collins, Lee, Jefferson, all of it. Its all done and in the rear view mirror. Time to focus on what the team has. This press conference for me was the book closing on 2011. Cue the Greenday song. Good Riddance.
