The expectations will be as high or higher when Zook went to Florida. If Miles produces a couple 7-4 seasons, lsu should cut there losses. I know I am getting ahead of myself, but my intuition says we are heading back to medicority.

I'll agree. Miles is in the same position at OSU that Saban was at Michigan St.: he's the 2nd largest fish in the pond.

That said, he's done quite a good bit for OSU given what resources he's had.

Re guardless of our next coach, we need to support him. Even if it's not the guy you wanted, we need to support.

But the big difference is that in 4 years, Les Miles will not receiving offers in the tune of 4 1/2 million from the NFL. BIG DIFFERENCE!!! This is by far the worse hire since Curly. I would say worse than Di Nardo with respect to where our program is at this given moment.

Start looking for www.firemiles.com soon cause I'm working on it right now. What a horrible, horrible hire.

I would have gotten firelesmiles.com but somebody from Okie St. already had it which tells you something.

He already did...he's in Miami now.

I don't know much about Miles other than he seems to be well liked by his players and is a good recruiter. I don't think contract buy-outs are deal breakers because if Skip can sell this coach to the TAF they will take care of that. Hell, they were ready to break with $1.5M to keep Saban until they heard the Miami gig was a done deal.

A good offensive minded coach with Saban's defensive philosophy taught to Muschamp and I believe we could have one hell of a team...next year and beyond.

Hopefully this will turn up to be a rumor only!

It's all about resources. Saban didn't have an abundant amount of resources at Michigan St.--especially competing againts Michigan. Les Miles is in the same situation over at OSU.

i see some fans saying he is a good choice. i am not bashing him just want to know why you think he will do a good job. is he a offensive minded coach or defensive. all i know is he has beat oklahoma 2 and should have beat them this year with much less talent. any info will be appreciated.

p.s this is my first post.
