The problem with this whole fiasco is that Michigan gave Miles the leverage to keep his boy Crowton around...
Way to Geaux Miles and LSU in this deal. :milesmic: After this season, I think we (and much of the nation) will probably realize that in our bizarre bayou football universe, we deserve each other. While this Miles leaving was all going down, it was still amazing to me to think that folks were talking about Crowton going. That's sort of the "suspension of reality" around those who were wanting Miles gone. So much so that I wanted, when folks were polling, to ask what the deviance would be between the two questions: Do you want Miles to stay? vs Do you want Miles to stay (if staying means Crowton stays)? LSU scored 41 points in the bowl game. That, and the fact that LSU went 11-2 and was the second best SEC team when all's said and done, means no coach is getting canned. Let's only hope that better QB play and better offensive rhythm, continue in 2011. opcorn:
Whoever runs the LSU page for Facebook also posted that Miles informed Alleva he was returning for his 7th season. Great news for LSU and bad news for the upcoming college season world... LSU 2011 BCSNC's mark it down.
Maybe so, but I am not going to complain. The last three games the Offense got better. Lets see what he does with a good QB. Look what LSU does when a QB throws down field WELL. See Cotton Bowl. 41 pts against a top rated Defense and a bruising running game. Keep Crowton dont care we kept Miles.
Well.. What I've read about the Cotton Bowl was that Miles was calling most of the plays... Definately seemed more conservative, pro-style...
I think the news broke earlier in the day. Those of you in the BR area can confirm this. I only have ESPN available during the day to refer to so as soon as I saw this I posted it. I know ESPN doesn't have a lot of cred around here, but when you are as far removed from BR geographically as I am, you take what you can get. GEAUX TIGERS!
Les Miles, LSU is your Michigan. Your legacy will be as an LSU Tiger. Bo would be proud of you today.
This is a very good day for the LSU program. Hopefully he'll keep calling the plays since we looked so good at the Cotton Bowl. :geauxtige:geauxtige :geauxtige:geauxtige
