Re: "Les Miles is a bad guy" (link added) @greggdoyelcbs Only an idiot would defend Les Miles against my story today *-- which means there are a lot of idiots in Lousiana
Re: "Les Miles is a bad guy" (link added) This is such a big deal about NOTHING. Porter is an offensive lineman who was going to redshirt anyway. Now, if he gray shirts he'll enter in January and have five years to play four. It's not like this kid is going to go to any big time university and start on the O-line right away. I don't care where he goes he would be redshirted. This is such a non-story it's ridiculous. Porter - take the gray shirt and have your scholly in January. These fools that act like LSU and Miles exiled Porter to some island is so idiotic.
Re: "Les Miles is a bad guy" (link added) I would say it's irrelevant whether he was going to play or not as a freshman. LSU made a commitment and they did not honor it. To me it would not be a big deal and you could chalk it up to rule change but the sad fact is they are looking like they are trying to recruit a whole full class of 25 again this year... with no possibility of having even close to that many slots available. If college football is business like you guys say, well I can tell you this is bad business.
Re: "Les Miles is a bad guy" (link added) Maybe so, but that does not excuse LSU's behavior. We should be trying to be the model program, not one of the ones people point to in a bad light. To me mistakes happen, the problem is the 2011 class is not a mistake... they have no business signing 25 kids. The NCAA needs to completely change all this still.
Have you guys gone to the bottom of the article and read through the comments? Some people are buying this thing hook, line and sinker. Others have a 3 part response as to why the writer is a moron. lol
those that buy it want to buy it, and not look at the hard facts and stats. this isnt "journalism", its a hatchet job.
I hadn't heard of this oversigning issue until this weekend talking to an aggie friend. He told me they are trying to get an olineman we let go to play nose tackle for them. I havent been on top of recruiting like I have in the past, is this the same guy? He also said that an alternate motivation to get him was a big time recruit coming out the same school and they wanted to have an in with him. Any truth to that? Not even going to click the link, then that hack gets what he wants. Les Miles is a lot of things, but I don't thinkanyone in their right mind could say a bad person or "subspecies". Unfotunately college ball is as much a business as anything else, and hard decisions have to be made. **** for brains writer trying to get some traffic, don't give him the pleasure.
Re: "Les Miles is a bad guy" (link added) Please enlighten us outsiders with your intimate knowlege of what actually transpired between LSU and Porter. What was said during the conversations? I assume you were present. Or, is this just another in your litany of negative shots at the LSU program.
