    Well he just said "we'll be running a 4 down lineman scheme, that will be able to get after the passer, and defend the long ball".

    Sounds like he's gonna run that nickel defense as his base set. That means Muschamp will either have to agree to run that or he's bringing in his own guy. That D is not a problem for Will, we'll see how it goes!

    It just seemed like you were saying "why the hell is a brit in charge of our school system."

    In fact, it still reads that way when I re-read it. I wasn't barking at you, just became defensive of someone who has been very loyal and done very good things for LSU...

    I like this guy a lot. In watching this press conference I can see that he is very genuine and candid. This hire is looking very good right now!

    zone is talking about defensive coverage, like man

    Coverages: 0, 1, 2, 2 deep, 3 (zone), 4, etc.

    blitzs and stunts are something different...

    i think he's handling this quite well considering the immeasurable amount of pressure underwhich he currently finds himself. he doesnt get these questions beforehand, like in a debate.

    How would you go about doing that...it is the middle of a break from school with players from all over the country.

    Just like any coaching change, actions are dependent on timing. I am sure he would have rather told his current players first at OSU, but it is not even close to feasible.

    Just my 2 cents.
