Oh no, I just had a horrible thought! The last time LSU hired a head coach who played offensive line for one of the most storied college programs, there was a lot of talk that LSU could be a stepping stone and there was a good chance that he'd bolt for his alma mater as soon as that job became available! You know what I'm talkin' 'bout. Hoping history doesn't repeat!!! :geaux:
A heard from a "source" that Les is planning to open up a restaurant? Don't think Italian is doing too well these days...
But DiNardo never left us for Notre Dame, so I don't know what history you're talking about???? Sounds to me that the "history repeating itself" that you're worried about is something that never even developed, so I'm not sure why you're worried.
Wow, Boston! How did you miss it??? GD came in and said all the right things and even had a little bit of success initially, further fueling speculation that he was a "rental" coach until the ND job was available. As it turned out, we really didn't have to worry about the Irish Catholics taking him from us, as the program went way south under GD and he was FIRED! So, what "developed" was awful! I sure hope that scenario doesn't play out again!!!!!! Oh, and I didn't say I was worried. The thought just crossed my mind about the similarities at the time of the initial hire... No way am I worried. I'm not supersticious, but it is quite an interesting comparison - DiNardo played O Line at ND, Miles played O Line at Mich... Aren't they the two winningest programs, or two of three?
bump for a press conference thread that just about everyone enjoyed it's nice to read back and see hwo well-received Miles was
ok...i was so confused for a minute there. I read the first 10-15 post and was trying to figure out why Miles was holding a press conference today?!?!?! I was beginning to think that I had missed something important!!
