I don't know about 50%. I would have to go back and track it.
Don't have time nor would I get paid for it.

For those who don't know about the 4-2-5, try this link. http://members.aol.com/queensarh/425/425.htm

I believe Skip said Miles coached with him.

Actually, I thought the press conference went real well. He's funny. He's serious. He respects LSU's rich traditions. This very could be the coach we have looking to get to stay here for a very long time. Said there was no reason why our program can't be the finest in the country. Said that was Saban's vision and that's his as well. Was very impressed with the Academic Center. Very concerned about the academic and football experience his players have here. We are very fortunate to have man of his character and knowledge here at LSU.

He said that everyone he's met at LSU has asked him to seriously consider LSU's assistants. Said those assistants are one of the main reasons this program is so successful and that he will visit with them to guage their continued wish to be here. They will be given serious consideration. In the end, he said, it would be his decision.

I think we needed someone of Saban's strength and resolve to change and upgrade the Tiger program. Now we need a coach ready to run a smooth, top notch program. Miles is just the guy we need now. I thinks that is a good take on losing one coach and gaining another.

I had a very positive first impression listening to Miles. Sounds like he understands where LSU football is today and what the expectations are right now. He was understandably nervous, but I thought he did well.

The Michigan thing does bother me though. Hope Carr doesn't leave anytime soon!

Thanks for all the news and comments guys. PC just gives you a flavor for his personal style, sounds like most liked it. That's good.

Challenges: Recruiting to National signing day, and putting staff together.

We'll have more to judge soon, substantive stuff rather than style.

He's our guy, and I want him to succeed.

One thing I just remembered from the PC... When Bertman made a point to emphatically say LSU is THE ONLY flagship university in this state. :D :D :)

He also seemed to be talking about Petrino somewhat as well at times, with his integrity comments. I may have been reading into it wrong. I have a hard time believing Miles became the top guy only after Petrino withdrew like ESPN keeps reporting.

One thing I did hear at the pc is that while Ok State he did look at other jobs from time to time and this was the only one he was willing to leave Ok State for. Kind uv a Who wouldn't want to come LSU? I liked his attitude. Very balanced man who knows what he is doing. I still think, like Saban, he is in for a big surprise when it comes to the intensity of LSU fans. I also think people are reading way too much into the Michigan thing. He said he is a college coach, always wanted to be a college coach. Think about it. If a new head coach at Michigan played his college ball at LSU, what would you expect?

This is our guy. I'm glad he is here. Fun times wait for us in the future.
