whodatnot I'm taking the day off

I was a Les Miles doubter, but I think it took all of last year for him to get schooled on SEC football. I think he's a good motivator and a true players coach. He's team oriented and not just me, myself and I.

With that being said, I think Bama just got the biggest shaft in the History of College Football. CNS spelled it out today. He said his heart was always in the college ranks and not the pros. SO WHY DOES BAMA PAY THIS MAN $32Mil if he was ready to jump back to college now according to him today. ROTFLOL!!!!! They could have offered him $2mil a year and I bet the snake would have jumped at it. Why not, he said today his heart was always in the college game. LOL!!!!!!!

Here's the NC list from 1989 to today. Notice how many SEC schools are in it and how many SEC coaches, still coaching the SEC today are in it. What Bama is saying it that CNS is better than any of these coaches in that he can win a NC at a SEC school twice in less than a decade. How long has Spurrier been at USC and how many SEC championships he has? Case closed. It took Bowden 6 years to get back to the trophy and he's the wins record holder.

So the hits just keep on coming. Funny how a few weeks ago there was so much negativavity toward Miles and now he has garnered so much support from fence sitters. This guy is for real and I've been on his wagon from the middle of last season. He knows how to recruit, he knows how to pick assistants and he know that loyalty and honesty are not just words.

I do have a request for ALL ot Tiger Forum members...lets drop the "Saywhat" Saban threads and concentrate on LSU sports. The guy is nothing to us now.

Perhaps the biggest impact Saban's decision will have on LSU will be that he has solidified the previous soft support for Miles. I think a lot of the unjustified criticism Miles has had to endure will end, as will the tendency to compare him unfavorably with Saban.

I am definitely on board with him. LSU football is larger than any player or coach. I was concerned about the Miles hire at the time and sorry to see Saban go, but I was never a Sabanite, or whatever one might call it. That said, I past that whole thing now. No looking back. Saban is the enemy now, and he has done nothing to tame down the fans here. This couldn't have been handled any worse by Saban, his WIFE, and his people. :dis:

Signed. I have been on the fence, however learning more towards the "I believe" side of things following what he was able to accomplish last year with the tragedy of Katrina. However, this year's results have pushed me solidly over to the "I believe" side. Right now and I interested in seeing if Bama's coach will be able to penetrate La for recruiting. Come on Miles, lock the fence around La and keep all Tiger bait out!

Bama hiring $aban has finally galvinized the Tiger Nation in their support of Les Miles.

To be honest, I was a little nervous when we hired Miles, but I figured it would take over a year to really know if he was a coach or not. By the end of last year, I felt pretty good given the team's well-handled recovery from the Tennessee debacle and overall performance in the Year of Katrina.

I continued to feel more and more comfortable about Miles this year, and was impressed with how well prepared the team was on game day (with the exception of the Florida game), and how hard this team seems to play for their coaches. By the Arkansas game, I was sold.

I think Miles is one heck of a coach. On top of that, Miles seems to be a man of real character and integrity. One thing my brother mentioned during a recent holiday phone call was how impressed he was that Miles visited the troops in Iraq. Having spent a tour of duty there, my big bro mentioned that going to there took a lot of courage and class. And he was impressed that Miles didn't use the trip for publicity. We both came to the concensus that we were happy to have him at LSU, thought he had a lot of character (something we both value), and that we really preferred him over Saban. And this was long before the current Saban drama.

I really do like Miles a lot, and I really do think he's a good coach. I even like his hat! Any chance we could get a smilie with The Hat on it?

I posted early on that Coach Miles had to keep the "mo" going. He had to prove to recruits that LSU would remain a top program. Coach Miles has done that and some. Coach Saban has given Coach Miles another weapon to recruit with. "I am a man of integrity, family and loyalty".

Thank you Tigers and Coach Miles for another great year.

The truth is that no coach does. Spurrier had legitimate ties to Florida but now coaches a division rival. Its just their job while to us, it's a love affair. We want coaches to become fanatics like us but they never do and then we're shocked.
