all games do matter. its just each year you have about 5 or 6 you count as wins whether coaches want to admit that or not.

so emotionally you are more up for the biggest games. its the way sports works. of course there are huge upsets because of it but that cannot be avoided. you dont want to use your emotion-card against USL with UGA up next. you want to get by with a win and prepare for the bigger game that follows. thats what les has always done and he has a NC to show for it.

theres nothing that says the coaches arent striving to be better. thats the most ridiculous assumption anyone can make and a poor observation on your part.

I dont even know what that means. If i make a ridiculous observation I expect others to point it out. Im adaptable that way.

believe it or not Im sometimes wrong and admit it. just not in this case.

    100% correct - and a good observation.

The one time I really remember Les showing emotion was after the fake field goal in the USCe game a couple of years ago.

He was laughing his ass off. And so were the rest of us.

At least he's not like old Tom Landry used to be on the sidelines. The great stone face.

And I also noticed we exited the 5 wide set right when the rain started coming down.

Charles Scott was right we only saw 10-15% of our playbook for UW and I would say we have only seen close to 25% after 2 games due to competition and rain.

I believe in rainbows and puppy dogs and fairy tales.

And I believe in the family - Mom and Dad and Grandma.. and Uncle Tom, who waves his penis.

And I believe 8 of the 10 Commandments.

And I believe in going to church every Sunday, unless there's a game on.

And I believe that sex is one of the most beautiful, wholesome and natural things.. that money can buy.

And I believe it's derogatory to refer to a woman's breasts as "boobs", "jugs", "winnebagos" or "golden bozos".. and that you should only refer to them as "hooters".

And I believe you should put a woman on a pedestal.. high enough so you can look up her dress.

And I believe in equality, equality for everyone.. no matter how stupid they are, or how much better I am than they are.

And, people say I'm crazy for believing this, but I believe that robots are stealing my luggage.

    And I believe I made a mistake when I bought a 30-story 1-bedroom apartment.

And I believe the Battle of the Network Stars should be fought with guns.

And I believe that Ronald Reagan can make this country what it once was - an arctic region covered with ice.

Like I said earlier. I wanted some "more" emotion. Not pull the card out in every game. Not go to an extreme. Just something more. The title of this thread was to create some emotion.

And NO I never assumed they weren't striving to be better.

What part of my observation was ridiculous? That Miles is a less emotional person than others? That maybe some people would like our head coach to have a bit "more" emotion?

And opinions are subjective. It doesn't matter if you think you are right.

When Miles first came in to LSU, I remember hearing people saying LSU football is doomed... he sucked at OSU, Blah blah... but he's done things here with HIS style so far that most of the past LSU coaches haven't done...

We're undefeated in OOC play in 5 seasons, we've been to 2 SECCGs, won 1... and a NC... and has compiled an 80% win percentage... what more could anyone ask from him. He kept to his word 2 seasons ago and diodn't bail on us, and has kept us in serious contentions since his arrival here... damn he sucks.

Only thing that aggravates me is watching us on 3rd and goal at the 4 and we kick a FG... I think the TD should've been attempted before kicking that FG but thats me. I just wish he'd get more aggressive... but all in all I don't we could've asked for a better coach.

I would add, and not to say we don't have some work to do, that unlike our future competition that has shown a lot of their playbook, either by need or by showing they could, that Miles has much in store for UF and UGA. Excellent strategy if you ask me. Don't show your hand and they won't know how to defend. Unlike UF who is trying to make statements because they only play the perceived weak end of the SEC. UGA, who by need in 2 tough games has had no choice but to unleash what they have. This will give us an advantage.

Your thread includes the word Zombie which to most of us LA educated people implies brain dead, total lack of emotion. So you start out on one extreme. Then you are surprised when others counter your opinion by using the opposite extreme. Who can know besides you what you deem to be an acceptable amount of emotional display. The man is a good coach and it strikes me odd how some on this forum are not happy unless he coaches like they believe they would if they were in that position. So not to go to the extreme as you say how much more emotion should he display. And also when should he display this emotion because should it be only were fans can see or is it ok for him to show it in the locker room. Or would it be ok with you for him to take a few minutes while walking to the locker room and give you some facial expressions, fist pumping, and jumping up and down on the jumbotron before halftime to cover the game. I've seen this coach show emotion at various times during his tenure here. This is an assinine topic considering the success of the program and the quality charachter of the person you are talking about.
