Don't forget Holliday's 6 ypc, oh, and the fact that we couldn't pass the ball and our QB kept getting sacked. Also, we had no time of possession and ran a really low number of plays.

LSU picked bad time to announce offensive coaches' raises - USATODAY.com

But considering the source (Glenn Guilbeau), he could be just stirring the pot as usual.

The alleged rifts in the locker room is worrisome if true. I hope there's no dissension on this team. We don't need problems with team chemistry on top of the offensive woes...

I'm really concerned about the remaining 6 games. I sure hope CLM can straighten this thing out with the offense.

Head coaches and OC's always butt heads some, it doesn't mean they are at odds with each other. They depend on each other and each future career depends on the others success. Nick and Jimbo butted heads. Les and Jimbo butted heads. Les and Crowton butt heads, too. It's not necessarily a bad thing. A top-tier football program that hires head coach-caliber coordinators and pays them head coach salaries is going to have some high-level scuffling. But they are all on the same team and trying to go the same direction.

Its a far healthier situation than an imperious head coach surrounded by boot-lickers.

Where does this notion come from? Les didn't run Big-10 football at Colorado, in the NFL, at Oklahoma State or at LSU. He could be head coach at Michigan if he loved Big-10 football that damn much.

Well, it's Crowton's scheme and he's been running it at LSU for three years. They call Les the Mad Hatter for not being conservative, you know.

Les Miles need to run his football program the way he wants to and he does. We need ONE head coach and we've got one.

Come on, Karnak. Crowton is a former head coach using a high-visibility OC position as a springboard to another head coaching job, just like Jimbo and Bo did before him. We all knew that when he was hired. Top OC's don't stay anywhere for more than 3 or 4 years.

This rumor usually only surfaces when we're actually in a losing season. We're still in control of our own destiny right now and teams more often come together in such a situation.

This team apparently has not had leaders emerge for some reason, but I've heard nothing about serious internal dissent on an LSU team since Mike Archer lost control in his last losing season . . . just before he lost his job.

That 2nd half offense didn't look like a Les Miles offense.

oh and why are CJ3 and Peterson fighting, did i miss something?

I dont think he is at all calling out Crowton. Im not sure who is at fault about the crappy gameplans and adjustments on O, but it must be fixed. It goes far beyond the play calling though. LSU isnt being well coached and are lacking discipline. Its a ship that could easily be fixed, but on the other hand it could easily sink. This off week will tell a lot about Miles and the staff. We need to make a ton of adjustments as well as put some discipline in this team. There are far too many self defeating penalties. You add that to the pathetic play calling and play of the OL and JJ, you have a recipe for disaster. That said I dont think LSU is that far from righting the ship. Its also an issue of personnel. We have to coach to our talent. Which means more misdirection plays. We cant keep being so predictable. Also its time to unleash Shepard. I dont think he is ready for QB, but put him at WR and RB.

On D its mainly just to be a lil more consistent on tackling. LSU gets into bouts of forgetting how to hit low and wrap up. Especially the DL. Id like to see a few more blitzes to compensate for the lack of rush by the DL. Other than that the D is set.

I read a Guilbeau article where he says:

"Miles has been critical of Crowton throughout this season for not getting true freshman quarterback/tailback Russell Shepard into games more."

Maybe I'm not reading things closely enought, but I have not picked up on Miles criticizing anyone, including Crowton, at all this year. He may have said in general "we need to get better at ______" but not calling anyone out that I remember.

What is Guilbeau talking about? Does someone have specifics or is he fishing for readers by fabricating drama?

I think the reporter is full of sh!t and trying to follow in the big news channel footsteps and CREATE news instead of reporting it!

We all know Les has the inability to play freshmen unless he has no choice so I dont believe Les is upset one bit about Shepard not getting into the games!

That doesnt sound like Les, never been his biggest fan, but he hasnt been the type to do anything but blame himself. If that were to start happening I think it would be a sign of the end of CLMs era.
