I don't think it is wrong to get upset, but I think the time for judgment has not come yet. You have made no secret of your dislike of Jindal, but I never got the feeling he was just more of the same. I'm in Florida now, so I really don't know much of what is going on, but I really used to think Jindal had a lot of potential and I think now is too early to give up on him. You didn't like him from the start, so of course you'll give up on him instantly.

I think it is silly that everyone gets so upset about the legislature is giving themselves raises; I'd be willing to bet they've been poorly spending a lot more of your hard earned tax dollars on things that aren't as sexy as legislative raises. Why are so many willing to take foolish government spending in many forms without much fight, but then turn around and get hot and bothered when the representatives take a significantly smaller amount of jingle to fatten their purses?

I'm not defending our representatives, I'm just wondering why there isn't more outrage in general.

He didn't have authority to implement his plan. His recommendations which were implemented have had great success.

Which are those? The ones to cut benefits and put people back on the street?
