I just Googled Rob Wheat on Google Images and there it was (along with some photos of wheat fields, etc.) This picture can be found in a number of places, and it might also be in the "Lee's Tigers" book. He was a big 'un, that's for sure. This was a tough son of a gun. At the battle of Port Republic, after the Tigers had captured a union artillery position, Wheat saw a counter-attack coming and personally cut the artillery horses' throats with his knife so the enemy could not haul the guns away if they re-took them. You'd want the dude on your side!
I hope that they were able to barbeque the horse meat and have a cook-out! Horse meat is not that bad, if you prepare it correctly.
