I hope you are talking about the bama fans on here and not the some of the LSU fans. We as fans have our differences, but that should not get in between our love for LSU football. We all want our player to play their best and the coaches to provide the opportunities to make that happen.
See...this just shows how the world is turning into a bunch of wimps. Instead of gloating and rubbing in the win...the gumps on here are rubbing our little heads and telling us it'll be alright...and we're listening to it. You just can't let a gump win one...it goes to their heads.
I was just stating a point that someone that doesnt know that much about football can see some obvious right observations based on what is working and what is not...
Glad you brought that up. I lived in Denver from 1983 through 1998 - which is just about the same time Elway was QB in Denver. Elway wasn't just bad his first year - HE SUCKED! But among the sacks for huge losses and a completion to the wrong team there were flashes of brilliance that were very promising. I thought about mentioning that last night after the game, but I wondered if I was reaching too far to compare Lee to Elway. Maybe the comparison will be more valid next year. Whatever the case I sincerely hope that in a year or so we can all come back to the rotten stuff that has been said about Lee and have a good laugh. Otherwise, I guess we'll just have a good cry. :geaux:
I have more faith in our head coach to know in practices when JJ is ready or not; there is a reason he didn't put the kid in to play. Anyways, do you really want to burn JJ's redshirt over a season we aren't going anywhere with right now? I could understand if we had NC dreams on the line but we don't. The game I saw last night, and I don't know if you at home agree, was a fine performance. It made me proud to be a tiger and there were no hard feelings walking out of that stadium. I laugh at all the gumps who sang their little "LSU we just kicked your ass" gloating song because they played real ****ty. Our defense pretty much shut out a heisman candidate QB and Glenn Coffee was immobile the whole night (sans a 21 yard run). Lee is having growing pains right now but I don't see how anybody in that stadium could boo the poor kid. Right, guys, that is helping him think we have faith in him. If you're going to boo your own team then what else is left? Grow up. You know what I was doing when everybody around me sat down as Alabama lined up for the blocked field goal? Standing up screaming my ass off...have faith in your team. Lee will turn it around, give him a full year of practice and the rest of these games; Miles sees something in him. If any of you fans who say they respect Nick Saban for what he did at LSU can claim that then you sure as hell can support and trust the decisions a coach that has given us another NC and better, winning records. Geaux Tigers.
It's not 1995 and we're not Nebraska. If we had not attempted to pass, the few times we did, saban could have shut the running game down with little trouble. No one is capable of just lining up and running the ball every snap anymore. A team would do better trying to pass it every down...we aren't that team...so we did what we did and prayed for no mistakes.
