    Re: Jarvis Jones

Jarvis says he is wide open among his top schools: UGA, TX, FL, USC, and LSU despite the rumors that he is down to FL or TX. Coach Porter seems to have been making some significant progress on him.

LSU will get his last official visit Jan. 30th.

Depending on the new coaching hires, LSU has the ability to land this kid.

Make the "right" hires and he is all ours.

You sound like a smart feller.

It's gonna get interesting down the stretch as LSU becomes a big player in the Jarvis Jones sweepstakes.

    Go get em Chief!

It's either the 'last push' or 'a little to late'..

:milesmic: Let's hope he reels him in. That'd be a hell of a pickup.

Wishful thinking IMO, been all Florida the entire process.

Only way LSU has a shot with this guy is if Florida backs off of him. Could be possible with Telfort, Jones, Bostic and Jenkins all favoring Florida. I hope he sees all the bigtime commits at LB for Florida and decides to look at LSU more seriously, especially with The Chief as DC, great LB coach.

Actually, he favored LSU until UF got in his ear about how bad our defense was. With this DC hire, we might be able to get him leaning our way again.

    That's my guess.

I say LSU will be in it to the end.

Also if Spikes stays, that will help as well possibly.
