The truth will set you free but first it just might piss you off. Sounds like you are a boo bird.

Lavalais comes accross as a winner and not a whiner to me. The guy has always played with heart and determination. Players play and fans whine when the going gets tough.

Nothing we post on this message board will make one rats ass difference, anyway.

My only point was to wish we did not get so damn quiet when the other team scores. But that'll never happen. I just think it is funny how we as fans get all bent out of shape when another school (like Florida, Bama or Auburn) point out that DV is not so tough a place to play considering we have given up quite a few W's there. It's a fact - LSU loses in DV.

My only retort is - don't come to town expecting to win a close one. If LSU does not get beat like a dog, they are not going to lose, because the fans will make the difference. (except 1998 - that year was pathetic with the losing close games - I place all the blame on Dinardo for that shiite - the fans did their part in close losses to GA, Bama and KY).

I just think LSU fans should make DV a tough place to play no matter what the score. Give em 60 minutes of hell and back our boys!

Read my posts again, Gorilla. I'm not a boo'er and said so. I'm just discussing booing without my purple and gold glasses on.

The relationship between a team and its fans goes both ways. What's hard to understand about that?

You should take Thumper's Mom's advice yourself. We're just talking here, you're the one tossing off insults.

  5. Might want to check your facts.

LSU's record in DV is 329-136-18 since 1924 for a .681 winning percentage. LSU has had 12 seasons in that time without a home loss (ties, yes, but loss no). Since 1990, LSU is 52-32 at home for a .619 percentage.

Wouldn't call that dominating, but we win a lot more than we lose at home....

Yes, I'm bored at work today.

Amen to that. I still remember going to the games in 1991 and 1992 and just feeling the hurt for the players who consistently got railed by the players, coches, and some fans.

I agree - but we should win one hell of a lot more than we have at home - don't you think? I've read home winning stats from other schools - DV is not better than middle of the pack in the SEC. Well behind Tenn/Bama/Florida (1990s Florida)/Georgia and maybe even Auburn.

The crappy Archer/Hallman/Dinardo run is what makes our home record sag.

I don't care whether you actually boo or not red55, you're whole attitude is off base. If you're an LSU fan, you should support the team, thick or thin, because you love the program - not because the players on the team support you. The benefit we, as fans, receive from LSU is simply watching them compete. That obligates us to support the team, even if they're not playing well. There is no reciprocal obligation on behalf of the team to put up with criticism and harassment from their own fanbase. A fan is not somehow justified in hurting his own team when he's pissed off just because he cheers for them when they're winning.

I think what red55 was getting at was LAV is abit unrealistic. I would love it if no fans would boo at DV. However, I would also love it if I could pull hundred dollar bills out my ass too.

Who made you the judge of what makes an acceptable LSU attitude, new guy? Look, can't anybody explore an issue on this forum anymore without some nimrod standing on a soapbox and singing "Hey Fightin' Tigers!" What are you afraid of hearing?

It's a discussion, my simian friend. We do it a lot here. We're all LSU fans. Did you read that? We're all fans here! Try to make your point without lecturing any of the rest of us, OK?
