No one is defending the booing, amigo. What I'm saying is that coaches and players need to recognize that there are booers out there and there's little to be done about it--except blow it off and win. We know they don't need that shit. But the worst thing they can do is bellyache about the fan support. Most of us are giving the team all we have, cheer loud, and stay late.

And some us us are a little annoyed at the remarks because we don't need that shit either. It ain't a matter of how purple and gold we are.

    Lavalais is a solid guy.

Some of you are bashing him for a passing comment (that's true) from a press conference.

Lavalais plays hard and is always pumped. Get off the guy.

Deuce McAllister said of playing in Tiger Stadium - You want to get up on them early because their fans will turn on them.

Not saying LAV isn't solid. But, you can't call out tiger fans like that. Like red said. We don't need that sh*t either.

I think that his comment is off base. I don't think that it is true. For example... take the Ole Miss game last year. We were not playing our best game. We just came off of a bad loss to Auburnt, a miracle debacle at KY, and a reaming against Bama.

But even in the third and fourth quarter, the fans were right there as loud as I can remember. We were losing that game until 6 minutes left in the game and the fans were rowdy the entire game. I don't think that the fans always get down when the Tigers are playing poorly.

In case you haven't noticed it is really SLOW right now. I think we can all agree LAV wasn't trying to malicious and that most fans will still support him and the team. It was just a really f*cking stupid thing to say. I guess we're lucky that when we say dumb sh*t there isn't a mike in our faces.

Lavalais an LSU Senior, All-SEC, possible All-American, has made Many statements in his years at LSU. 1 sentence? Damn, some people really Can pick gnat sh*t out of pepper...Political Correctness run amok. No wonder the media types are denied or given minimal access to College players. Agree with FightinTiger, Drama were there is none.

    Lavalais AND fans are wrong...

Fans should NEVER boooo the team, coach or school, but Lavalais is basically doing the same thing he's complaining about.

He is being critical of the fans by saying they are too critical of the team?

Now I'm being critical of Lavalais. Will it ever end?

    Fans shouldn't boo.
Players shouldn't whine if they do.

This is a forum for discussion, mon ami. No need to shake your finger at anybody, especially since you don't know us and have no basis to judge our support of the Tigers.

I appreciate your opinion and I wish you could appreciate mine. Why wave a purple & gold flag because somebody has an alternative view.
