I'll agree to an extent. I have no idea why we run the option with JJ or why we continue to let Lee throw. Regardless...both seem to make bad decisions especially when they receive a little pressure.
He telegraphs plays... he spelled it out in 2007. He calls plays to suit individuals. Lee is in the game - pass Jefferson in the game - run, run option, and wr screen Scott in the game - I formation run Shepard - run option TH - run option
JJ ran the option pretty nice against Alabama until he went out of the game...the smoothest I've seen him run it all season actually.
Where they clicked this year is when Lee was in there and they ran to Riley/Scott... defenses played back.... drive against Tulane, the 2 first drives against Alabama... then Crowton went back to passing with Lee in there. The question is why?
Considering the way we have played most of the night tonight I would be happy with 14-13. (That's a joke).
Not just that but you have to question the development of JL and other QB's. For one thing they aren't always put in a position to be successful, confidence or lack of can make or break anyone with or without skills. This goes back to what you are saying also!
