That's silly of you to think that. If I were a big time recruit I would certainly want to know what the "fans" thought as a whole. If I were a big time recruit and I happened by TigerForums and read some of the crap masquerading as fan support of LSU but not of the coaching staff, then I would have second thoughts.

I'm trying to figure out what planet you are all from. This is not a unique phenomenon among LSU fans, or specific to TigerForums. College football is a passionate endeavor and any big program facing a tough loss sees these reactions - for the last three years people have bitched and moaned about Mack Brown around here, around the watercooler, online, in the paper, skywriting - you name it. Well as it turns out, he was still able to continue recruiting, and now they're headed to the Rosebowl.

The world is not going to stop spinning, and neither will the fate of LSU athletics for years to come be decided by the contents of the posts here. I don't care if your opinion is positive or negative - I can ususally tell that almost everyone here, in his or her own way, and for better or worse, is a Tiger fan.

Where there are outliers, as with someone posting that they are glad about an injury, by all means, string em up and let em drop - but short of that, just grow up and learn to live in a world where not everyone agrees with you all the time.

If you think both losses, every close call, and each dropped pass this year were directly attributable to coaching then you're an idiot. If you think the coaches had nothing at all to do with any of it, then you're an idiot. If you post a single comment one way or the other in the heat of the moment or while simmering down a day or two after a big win or loss - then you're probably just a fan who cares enough to have a reaction, and should be thankful for and respectful of the forum here that provides you that outlet.

And the next person who tells me "It's just a game" is going to get karate in the throat.

Don't overreact, loco. That's what the "doom-&-gloomers" are doing. But the board also has many imposters, opponent posers, and kids just looking for kicks. Think Bart Simpson. It is important that you contribute what you think needs saying. The doofuses will make themselves apparent.

If you start getting upset at characters on an anonymous message board, you will just get ulcers.

I think the local loyalists are standing up to the the groaning team bashers, pretty well here. The recruits see that too. Not to mention that every school has boards that are little different from ours.
